The most common question we get is, "How much will it cost to get this car to my doorstep in Accra?" While the sticker price at a US auction is tempting, you must account for the additional layers of cost.
1. The Auction Price
This is the winning bid at the auction. Remember that auctions also charge a "Buyer's Fee" which can range from $400 to $1,000+ depending on the vehicle price.

Moving the car from the auction yard to the US port, and then the ocean freight to Tema or Takoradi. Expect to pay between $1,500 and $2,500 depending on the vehicle size and port of origin.
3. Import Duties and Taxes
This is often the largest cost. Ghana's duties are calculated based on the vehicle's HDV (Home Delivery Value), age, and engine capacity. Newer cars and larger engines attract higher duties.
